EN10083 ASTMA672 ASME C60 S60C CK60 SAE 1060 cold rolled carbon steel strip is a hypoeutectoid steel with high strength, hardness and elasticity. It has low plasticity during cold deformation, poor machinability, poor welding and hardenability, and water quenching has a tendency to produce cracks. Large parts are mostly normalized. CK60 or SAE1060 steel is used to manufacture shafts, spring rings, axles, various washers, cams, steel ropes and other parts that are subject to large forces, work under friction conditions, and require high strength, wear resistance and a certain elasticity.
C60 carbon steel is an unalloyed medium carbon engineering steel that has 0.57%-0.65% Carbon as per EN10083 standard. It has characteristics similar to that of C55 carbon steel which has high hardness and high strength after hardening
The fullerenes C60 and C70 were first identified in carbon vapour produced by laser irradiation of graphite, and have recently been produced in macroscopic quantities by vaporization of graphite with resistive heating.
