Low nickel 201 stainless steel strip coil
Type 201 stainless steel is a low nickel, high-work hardening, austenitic chromium-nickel-manganese stainless steel. Type 201 stainless steel is not hardenable by heat treatment. It may be substituted, in some cases, for other higher nickel content alloys. Stainless is created by extracting chromite from underground mines.
201 stainless steel belongs to austenitic stainless steel, is the most commonly used in the 200 series in China.
Differ chemical element content between AISI 304 stainless steel and 201 stainless steel 1.1 Stainless steel plates that commonly used was divided into two types: 201 and 304. In fact, the components are different. 201 stainless steel contains 15% chromium and 5% nickel. 201 stainless steel is a substitute for 304 steel.
The stainless steel in grade 201 has an extremely low electrical conductivity. Therefore, stainless steel does not belong to the materials used for electrical conductivity.
However, the 201 stainless steel material has a strong resistance to high-temperature sensitization. Moreover, this can prevent lower temperature inter-granular corrosion.
