According to the preliminary Census Bureau data from the US Department of Commerce (USDOC), the US imported around 157,000 tons of cold-rolled flat products in March this year, rising by 29% compared to the previous month and also hiking by 52% from the same month a year earlier.

Among them, the imports from Canada accounted for the largest proportion, totaling around 55,000 tons, a month-on-month increase of 30.8% and a year-on-year growth of 26.8%. Other major import sources included Mexico (around 20,600 tons), Russia (around 17,500 tons), Vietnam (around 11,900 tons), and Australia (around 11,100 tons).

During the period, the import value totaled around US$224 million, up by 19.3% month on month and surging by 127.1% year on year.
