Based on a request submitted by the Ukrainian government, the UK Trade Remedies Authority (TRA) has started an investigation to consider whether to suspend anti-dumping (AD) measures on Ukraine’s hot-rolled flat and coiled steel after the market has changed due to Russia’s invasion.

The suspension of the AD measures would be short-term, with a maximum of nine months. The UK industry should have the opportunity to comment on the proposed suspension before the TRA makes its decision.

Hot-rolled flat and coiled steel is mainly used in the mechanical and electrical engineering, construction, and automobile fields.
