The UAE’s Dana Steel is already preparing to start the production of cold-rolled coils. The cold-rolling plant has an annual production capacity of 400,000 tons and was expected to start production in the first quarter of 2023.

Dana Steel currently has two production lines, one is used to produce 250,000 tons of hot-dip galvanized coils and aluminum-zinc coated coils, and the other is for pre-painted coils with a capacity of 150,000 tons.

At present, the company mainly imports cold-rolled coils from China, India, and Pakistan for coating treatment.

The recent slowdown in economic activity due to the Islamic Ramadan and the upcoming Eid al-Fitr holiday has limited demand for sheets in the UAE
