According to the U.S. Department of Commerce (USDOC), the U.S. imported about 229,000 tons of hot-dip galvanized (HDG) sheet and strip in July, up 28.7% month-on-month and 10.3% year-on-year.

Among them, imports from Canada accounted for the largest proportion, totaling about 76,800 tons, a decrease of 1.7% month-on-month and a year-on-year decrease of 6.5%. Other sources of imports include Mexico (about 32,000 tons), Vietnam (about 25,000 tons), South Korea (about 18,100 tons) and South Africa (about 17,600 tons).

During this period, the total import value was about 298 million US dollars, an increase of 35.3% month-on-month and a year-on-year increase of 65%
