Affected by the LME nickel price fluctuation, European stainless steel deal prices have increased in the past week.
After the first trading day in the LME on March 16, the nickel prices declined in a row in three days. However, European stainless steel mills didn’t offer their new prices due to the high production cost and unstable nickel price.
According to understanding, the 304 cold-rolled coil offer for north Europe area was up by EUR 300-400/ton compared to last week.
After the sharp increase, the demand was not as good as expected. Buyers didn’t take risks to purchase at this period of time and preferred to wait for a stable price.
